According to Li Auto, the AD Max system adopts its self-developed full-stack software of perception, decision, planning and control, ensuring the system’s reliability and growth. Specifically, its AEB system is specially optimized in accordance with the Chinese traffic situation, with enhanced recognition ability of jay-walking pedestrians and two-wheel road participants.
The L9 uses high-performance cameras as its main source for perception, including six 8-million pixels cameras and five 2-million pixels cameras, realizing a 360° panorama view of its surroundings. The two 8-million pixels cameras in the front of the car are able to recognize cars, pedestrians, and objects at a 120° angle, 550 meters away.
The intelligent driving computing platform on the L9 is powered by two pieces of NVIDIA’s Orin-X processor, providing a maximum computing power of 508TOPS. The two processors are redundant to each other, allowing a smoother operation.
Notably, Li Auto made the million-RMB autonomous driving sensors and computing platform standard on its vehicles. The L9 will realize all-scenario ADAS functions. The timetable for the function to go online may vary by cities due to regional policies.
Additionally, the L9 features a guard mode, with its in-car 3D ToF sensor and its external cameras monitoring the car’s surroundings when users left.
