Description

Hesai’s AT128 is an automotive grade, hybrid solid-state lidar designed for OEM-installed series production vehicles. It not only has a 200-meter detection range at 10% reflection, but also integrates 128 laser channels together through ASIC technology, achieving a 1200 x 128 overall resolution and generating 1.53 million data points per second. AT128 accurately captures all objects in detail to see “far and clear”, providing outstanding perception capability for ADAS.

Unique Advantages

Through Hesai’s self-proprietary ASIC technology, AT128 integrates 128 independent transmitters together to ensure high performance, reaching an ultra-high 1200x128 overall resolution, and generating over 1.53 million data points per second, breaking the data point frequency record comparing to other long-range hybrid solid-state products. The evenly distributed, high-resolution point cloud ensures strong remote sensing and algorithm computation capability for the intelligent driving system, which is key for the overall safety.

Furthermore, Hesai’s AT128 has a ranging capability of 200 meters at 10% reflectivity, with an effective ground detection range as far as 70 meters.

AT128 is considered having the strongest comprehensive performance among currently mass-produced automotive-grade lidars. Moreover, the chip used by AT128 is able to reduce lidar’s overall size, solving the problem that traditional lidars couldn’t have “high performance” and “small volume” at the same time.

Application

With its ultra-high resolution and compact size, AT128 can assist the mass production and implementation of L3+ ADAS vehicles, empowering autonomous driving, unmanned logistics, unmanned delivery, robotics, V2X, industrial applications, and other autonomous driving applications.

Prospect

With the rapid development of autonomous driving, the key perception technology represented by lidar has entered into mass production stage. Hesai AT128 has secured millions of orders from OEMs to install on series production vehicles. Currently disclosed OEM partners for mass-production ADAS include Li Auto, JIDU, HiPhi, and Lotus. In order to better facilitate the large-scale production of automotive grade lidars, Hesai is building the “Maxwell” intelligent manufacturing center, which will complete construction in 2022 with a planned production capacity of over 1 million units.
