SAIC Z-ONE, Rising Auto inaugurate digital intelligence co-creation center

Beijing (Gasgoo)- SAIC Motor’s Rising Auto and its automotive intelligence arm SAIC Z-ONE held an inauguration for their jointly-built digital intelligence innovation center in Shanghai’s auto town, Anting.

As the center’s first achievement, their co-developed RISING OS smart cockpit interactive system will be implemented onto Rising Auto’s new flagship SUV, the R7. 

Rising Auto and SAIC Z-ONE have been cooperating since the early development phases of the R7. Leveraging each’s resources and technological advantages, the joint innovation center was established. Building on the R7’s smart cockpit interactive system, the two parties have joined forces throughout the entire R&D process, working in aspects like product design, module development, and scenario experiences. 

Currently, the jointly-owned innovation center focuses on SAIC Z-ONE’s full-stack technologies and solutions, including centralized electronic architecture, SOA software platform, OTA, data factory, and integrated digital cockpit/driving experience products. 

RISING OS is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SA8155 chip, with virtualization technology and RTOS+Android AOSP operating system as the foundation, and various platformed modules. 

Notably, in March, Rising Auto has unveiled a design center and an intelligent driving center co-built with SAIC Motor Innovation Research Institute, illustrating the auto brand’s technology-driven strategy to conquer the high-end electric vehicle market.
