NIO Capital invests in self-driving startup Yunchuang Zhixing

Beijing (Gasgoo)- NIO Capital led the Pre-A investment round of China’s crewless city-sanitation startup, Yunchuang Zhixing, the company announced on July 19th.

Yunchuang Zhixing raised tens of millions of yuan in the round. The company said that it would put the proceeds into the R&D of core technologies, the promotion of large-scale production, and a larger commercial deployment.  

Founded in March 2021, Yunchuang Zhixing is an autonomous driving company focusing on the city sanitation segment. The company is dedicated to building integrated solutions for crewless sanitation operations and improving the current harsh conditions for city sanitation works.

The founding team of the company consists of veterans in the sanitation industry as well as experts in autonomous driving.

Yunchuang Zhixing’s autonomous sanitation operation model features a fully functional platform that covers driverless street cleaning vehicles, cloud-based remote management, and intelligent operation platform.

In November 2021, the company landed a crewless cleaning operation project with China Telecom in Jinji Lake Scenic Area, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Yunchuang Zhixing successfully deployed five proprietary YC-200 fully-autonomous street cleaners on site, working in substitute for dozens of service staffs. 

Started in Suzhou, Yunchuang Zhixing plans to facilitate similar commercial application projects in Nanjing, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Chengdu.
