Aiways among first automakers to use Baidu’s ERNIE Bot onto smart cars
Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 16, China’s new energy vehicle startup Aiways announced that it officially stands among the first batch of automakers to adopt Baidu’s ChatGPT-like ERNIE Bot onto its vehicles.

In the future, through Baidu’s Apollo automotive intelligence products, Aiways will integrate the capabilities of the ERNIE Bot onboard, promoting the development of the Aiways’ AI-enabled mobility ecosystem. The automaker will work together with Baidu to create a large-scale artificial intelligence interaction based on intelligent travel scenarios, bringing a new AI travel experience to Aiways users in more than 20 countries around the world.
ERNIE Bot is a generative dialogue product launched by Baidu based on the ERNIE big model technology. The industrial-grade knowledge-enhanced ERNIE big model holds cross-modal and cross-language deep semantic understanding and generation capabilities. According to information from Baidu, the ERNIE Bot will be launched in March 2023.
Aside from Aiways, Dongfeng Motor’s premium new energy vehicle brand VOYAH and JIDU, the automaker backed by Baidu and Geely, are all users of the ERNIE Bot technology.
