Compared to the same period in 2021, Apollo Go’s ride order volume shot up 162%. By the end of January 2023, Apollo Go has accumulated a total Robotaxi service volume of more than 2 million rides.

In the past year, Baidu made several achievements in the autonomous driving field. In August 2022, Apollo Go obtained the permit to operate fully driverless Robotaxi service to the public in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, and Chongqing. In December, the company was green-lighted to conduct autonomous driving road tests without safety drivers onboard in the Beijing High-level Automated Driving Demonstration Area. Currently, Apollo Go’s fully autonomous driving Robotaxi fleet in Wuhan has expanded to over 100 vehicles.

At the same time, Baidu disclosed that its ACE intelligent transportation solution has been deployed by 69 cities by the end of 2022.

In addition, numerous automakers announced recently the decision to integrate Baidu’s ChatGPT-like AI dialogue model, ERNIE Bot, onto their intelligent vehicles, including Great Wall Motor, Geely, Hongqi, VOYAH, Dongfeng Nissan Venucia, JIDU, Leapmotor, Aiways, Haima Automobile, etc.
