DJI Automotive unveils new-generation pure vision intelligent driving solution

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On April 2, DJI Automotive, the DJI subsidiary that provides integrated solutions for autonomous driving, unveiled its new generation intelligent driving solution at the China EV100 Forum.

The solution boasts computational power as low as 32TOPS with a pure vision configuration of 7V/9V. Through such features as strong online real-time perception, zero dependence on high-precision maps, and no reliance on LiDAR, the solution delivers L2+ intelligent driving functions such as urban memory driving (32TOPS) and urban navigation driving (80TOPS). Additionally, the pure visual assistance driving system supports extended millimeter-wave radar, ultrasonic radar, LiDAR, high-precision maps, and other sensors to enhance system safety redundancy.

The new solution features low computational thresholds, robust algorithms, and rich functionalities, such as active safety, driving assistance, parking assistance, memory parking, cross-layer memory parking, memory driving, high-speed navigation driving, and upgradable configurations for urban navigation driving.

The sensor configuration is concise and efficient, with the base configuration at 7V consisting of a pair of DJI Automotive's exclusive front stereo dual-eyed cameras, a rear monocular camera, and four panoramic fisheye cameras. The system can achieve navigation driving without relying on high-precision maps in cities. When upgraded to 9V configurations, the system adds two side-view monocular cameras, strengthening the vehicle's dynamic detection ability and eliminating the need for high-precision maps to achieve all intelligent driving functions, including urban navigation driving.

In addition, the solution supports the expansion of computing power for up to 200TOPS and additional sensors. It offers multiple step configurations that fully adapt to the intelligent vehicle trend in the Chinese market. The solution caters to both budget-friendly and high-end vehicle models by providing advanced intelligent driving functions. According to DJI Automotive, its new solution is currently in a usable state and being actively promoted for mass production with partner automakers.

Furthermore, during the Forum, DJI Automotive revealed that it was already preparing for higher-level intelligent driving solutions.
