The chip is based on the ARM Cortex-M4F core, meets the AEC-Q100 Grade 1 requirement, and achieves functional safety up to ISO 26262 ASIL-B level. It also supports SHE standards for information security, communication encryption, and secure boot. The AC7840x has dual-Bank Flash for program storage and OTA upgrades, and can be widely used in various areas such as car body, cabin, lighting, and electric motor control.
The chip supports AUTOSAR standard architecture-based system development, enabling significant software reuse, accelerated development and maintenance, optimized scalability, and easier application for automakers.
The chip provides documentations, universal development kits, application routines, and development data such as MCAL. The tool supports mainstream development environments such as KEIL, IAR, GreenHills, Eclipse, and debugging tools such as ATC-LINK, U-LINK, J-LINK, and production programming tools like PEmicro, Junda, Xeltek, Opteeq, Acroview, and Armfly.
As of the end of 2022, AutoChips has shipped 250 million chips, including 30 million MCUs. AutoChips plans to expand its product line in the future based on its four major product lines (SoC/MCU/AMP/TPMS) to meet core automotive electronic applications.
