The permit is as part of the intelligent connected vehicle high-precision map pilot program initiated by the Commission, which made NavInfo the first company to receive an approval number for its high-precision assisted driving map in Beijing.
The map submitted by NavInfo covers the entire pilot area of Beijing’s intelligent connected vehicle high-precision map pilot program, including a 60-square-kilometer section of the Beijing High-level Automated Driving Demonstration Area (BJHAD) 2.0 in Yizhuang, Beijing.
NavInfo has actively complied with industry policy requirements and has obtained approval for its high-precision assisted driving maps in multiple Chinese cities so far.
Previously, NavInfo innovatively integrated traditional navigation maps, assisted driving maps, high-precision maps, and parking lot maps into a unified platform called OneMap. The platform addresses the challenges of map integration in intelligent driving systems and seamlessly supports interactions between the cockpit and the driving domain.
Up to now, NavInfo’s high-precision maps have covered 420,000 kilometers of national highways and urban expressways, as well as major national, provincial, and county roads in over 120 cities nationwide.
