Description

With the evolution of automotive communication networks for intelligent and connected vehicles, traditional wire based communication expands to future wireless communication solution. Based on state-of-the-art wireless technology, Ethernet technology, and L4-L5 level of autonomous driving system with zonal DCUs, the new generation of intelligent wireless zonal DCU system featured with lowest delay, lowest attenuation, highest concurrency is developed to achieve the big data wireless transmission, the wireless body control system, the Ethernet zonal control system replacing all coaxial Fakra/ differential LVDS systems and the integration of POF optical fiber and e-fuse smart module for back up links and safety redundant power supply.


Unique advantages

The intelligent wireless zonal DCU system consists of main wireless modules, Ethernet zonal control module, redundant & back up modules which are as follows:

(1) Main wireless module, spark-link dual SLB/SLE modules as core board featured with ultra low latency≤100μS and higher concurrency, to achieve the electrical links among 1046 device transmittals simultaneously, 80 electrical functions concurrency within1mS, which fully covers entire body control system. 

(2) ADAS wireless module, adoption of integration designed with wireless UWB digital key module, wireless 360°AVW, TPMS system.  Applying three isolated PCB zones to solve EMI issues.          

(3) Ethernet zonal control system, Ethernet MAC/PHY modules designed to the big data’s regional control, the system replaces all coaxial Fakra/HSD/LVDS systems. The standardized interface of Ethernet performs the connection functions of the DCUs & loads around nearby zone, eliminates the transmission bottleneck to ensure ultra high speed real-time transmission up to 50G-100Gbps. 

(4) Redundant power supply module, dual e-fuse modules designed to intelligent power supply management, fault diagnosis with quick response time ≤ 100μS to ensure the safety redundant strategy.

(5) Back up data transmission module, POF optical fiber system integrated with TDM strategy designed to safety data back up transmission in case of failures.

Application

With three intelligent wireless zonal DCUs establish a new wireless E/E architecture built for next generation of autonomous driving configuration system, combined with zonal standardized transmission by Ethernet, e-fuse redundant power management and POF optic link back up system. The new system significantly reduces the usage of harness including copper wires and connectors by 85%, and cuts down the failure rates of connection issues caused by wiring. The weight of harness on board reduces greater than 30kg. Meanwhile, the work efficiency to install harness to the vehicle is greatly improved. Consideration of cost savings, weight reduction, reliability for high speed transmission and work efficiency improvement, the new production of intelligent wireless zonal DCU system solves all pain points caused by traditional wiring system.
