China computing tech developer Willingcore closes Angel around

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese computing tech firm Willingcore announced on August 4 it has successfully closed a substantial angel funding round with nearly a hundred million yuan raised. The funding was jointly invested by Hui Capital and Qunxin Capital.

Established in 2023, Willingcore focuses on developing core technologies for high-performance computing. The company boasts expertise across critical domains including Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) design, high-performance CPUs, GPGPUs, Coherence Fabric, HSIO, and Chiplet integration.

Willingcore's prowess stems from its accomplished team of core architects and seasoned engineering experts, each with a proven track record in project development. The company's diverse portfolio includes offerings such as general-purpose high-performance computing chips, versatile high-performance IPs, custom-designed computing chips tailored to specific scenarios, dedicated compute core IPs, BMC customization services, and automated testing solutions.

With its headquarters located in Shanghai, Willingcore has established additional R&D branches in Xi'an, Beijing, and Guangzhou. The company's expanding research team is emblematic of its steadfast commitment to innovation.

Notably, Willingcore has recently joined forces with BYD Electronics to co-develop high-performance server systems. As the partnership specifies, the two entities are poised to strengthen their collaboration in the realm of high computing power. Their shared vision involves exploring collaborative opportunities across diverse domains, encompassing cloud computing, edge computing, automotive applications, and end-user scenarios. These strategic endeavors are geared toward assisting enterprises in optimizing costs, enhancing efficiency, and achieving greater autonomy.
