Hesai Technology partners with Webasto for roof-mounted LiDAR sensor integration

Beijing (Gasgoo)- At the IAA MOBILITY 2023, Chinese LiDAR manufacturer Hesai Technology announced its collaboration with Webasto, a global leader in vehicle roof systems.

Through the partnership, Hesai will provide high-performance automotive LiDAR for Webasto's roof-mounted sensor modules designed for ADAS-enabled mass production vehicles, with plans for further collaboration in the future.

Webasto, a top-tier automotive component supplier, specializes in innovative multi-sensor roof systems that integrate cameras and LiDAR for leading car manufacturers. These systems not only ensure a sleek and aesthetically pleasing vehicle design but also empower the mass production of ADAS applications. Webasto's current roof sensor modules are equipped with Hesai's AT128 LiDAR.

Both the AT128 and the ET25, developed by Hesai, are high-performance LiDAR products tailored for advanced driver assistance systems in production vehicles. They provide ultra-high-definition long-range three-dimensional perception, contributing to more accurate driving decisions. The AT128, with its ultra-high-resolution capabilities, seamlessly integrates into the roof sensor module, capturing object details with precision. The slim ET25 LiDAR can be discreetly placed behind the rear windshield, offering a unique interior installation that complements vehicle design, maintains aerodynamics, and remains resistant to dirt and debris.
