SemiDrive, Kankan Tech join forces to enhance in-car imaging solutions

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 25, Chinese automotive chip supplier SemiDrive and the local optical image solution provider Kankan Tech inked a strategic partnership agreement aimed at advancing high-quality, platform-level in-car imaging solutions.

Under the agreement, leveraging SemiDrive's automotive-grade chip products, the intelligent cabin-dedicated X9 series and intelligent driving-oriented V9 series, Kankan Tech will offer platform-level imaging ecosystem development services. This encompasses comprehensive technical support for customers, including customized camera module development, production support, algorithm integration, image calibration, and road testing.

In addition to their technical collaborations, the two companies will embark on synchronized research to establish a guiding set of evaluation standards for automotive cameras.

SemiDrive is at the forefront of intelligent automotive chip solutions, specializing in high-performance, highly reliable automotive chips. The company’s product portfolio covers three core areas, including smart cockpit, intelligent driving, and intelligent control. With industry-leading production progress, SemiDrive have shipped over 2 million chips and served more than 260 customers, spanning over 90% of Chinese automakers and select international major automotive firms.

Kankan Tech, on the other hand, is a full-stack optical image product and solution provider, focusing on core optical image technologies. The company developed prominent products such as the high-resolution, pop-up intelligent cabin cameras, CMS (electronic rearview mirrors), and palm vein biometric recognition technology. Multiple intelligent cabin and assisted driving imaging products have been successfully adopted by new energy vehicle manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers.
