Hesai Technology to supply Leapmotor with AT128 LiDAR

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 13, Chinese LiDAR manufacturer Hesai Technology ("Hesai") officially announced its designated collaboration with Leapmotor, a Chinese new energy vehicle maker, in an OEM-installed project. Through the collaboration, Leapmotor upcoming mass-produced passenger vehicle will feature the cutting-edge AT128 ultra-high-resolution long-range LiDAR from Hesai.

Since its establishment in 2015, Leapmotor has remained committed to independent R&D of core technologies, achieving complete integration of the entire industry chain, including self-developed intelligent vehicles, production, sales, and service. It stands as a tech-driven NEV company with comprehensive in-house capabilities. Leapmotor has developed its LeapPilot intelligent driving assistance system in-house and continually releases and upgrades new intelligent driving features.

Hesai's AT128, introduced as a long-range LiDAR system for the mass-market pre-installed segment, has been in production and delivery since last year. It has achieved monthly deliveries exceeding 20,000 units and cumulative deliveries of over 130,000 units, empowering numerous production passenger vehicle models.

This collaboration with Hesai reflects Leapmotor' recognition of Hesai's outstanding product capabilities and its robust production and delivery strength, said Hesai. In the future, both parties will leverage their industry-leading strengths to actively expand into global markets, injecting new vitality into the global intelligent automotive industry.
