SemiDrive, SAIC Volkswagen team up to promote domain control tech development
Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 6, Chinese automotive chip developer SemiDrive and SAIC Volkswagen signed a memorandum of cooperation to jointly propel the R&D and application of intelligent vehicles’ electronic technology.

The partnership between SAIC Volkswagen and SemiDrive stands as a stellar example of cohesive automotive tech integration. Over recent years, their robust strategic partnership has delved deeply into transformative trends in automotive electronics, aligning seamlessly in their approach towards smart cabins, intelligent driving, and vehicle domain control.
In August this year, the duo celebrated the establishment of a joint innovation center in Shanghai, marking a comprehensive collaboration encompassing chip applications, system integration, and domain controller development, with ongoing progress in their mass production initiatives.
As a frontrunner in comprehensive intelligent vehicle core technology, SemiDrive's lineup of automotive-grade chips and solutions spans smart cockpits, intelligent driving, central gateways, and high-performance MCUs. These products have seen widespread production, servicing over 260 clients with nearly 200 designated projects, extending its reach to over 90% of Chinese automakers and some of the key international players, said SemiDrive.
