Flagchip, Uni-Sentry team up in vehicle controller information security protection field

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese automotive chip developer Flagchip inked a strategic agreement with Uni-Sentry focusing on the core layer of vehicle controller information security protection and an in-depth defense system for overall vehicle information security.

Leveraging their respective technological and resource advantages, both entities aim to advance such automotive technologies as domain control, battery management, chassis, suspension, electric drive, and driver assistance.

Flagchip, one of the few domestic manufacturers capable of independently developing ISO 26262 functional safety ASIL D-grade multi-application cores and high-computing MCUs, specializes in the R&D and sales of high-end automotive controller chips. The company has introduced the FC4150 product family meeting functional safety ASIL B and the FC7300 product family fulfilling ASIL D standard, aligning with automotive electrical/electronic architecture 3.0 requirements.

Uni-Sentry's vehicle controller chip HSM information security firmware engages from the ECU controller MCU chip level. It efficiently implements anomaly detection and defense mechanisms for vehicle controller business, nearly eliminating false positive rates in abnormal behavior detection. This supports deployment in mainstream MCU chips and caters to flexible customizations like "real-time blocking + custom blocking," offering Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS) and establishing the innermost security layer for intelligent connected vehicle safety, termed "control security."

The collaboration aims to build a complete ecosystem for domestically produced vehicle-grade chips and expand the domestic market for fundamental software solutions.
