NETA Auto’s new vehicle model to incorporate Hesai Technology’s AT128 LiDAR

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On January 24, Chinese LiDAR manufacturer Hesai Technology announced a collaboration upgrade with NETA Auto, the new energy vehicle maker under Hozon Auto.

The partnership aims to incorporate the cutting-edge 128-line ultra-high-definition LiDAR, AT128, into NETA Auto's upcoming vehicle model, creating the advanced NETA PILOT intelligent driving system designed to cover a wide range of travel scenarios. The new vehicle is set to debut in 2024.

This collaboration builds upon previous joint efforts, including the announcement in October 2023, where Hesai Technology was nominated as a supplier in NETA Auto's new vehicle pre-installed production project. The forthcoming NETA Auto model will feature the AT128 LiDAR and is expected to be production-ready in the first half of 2025.

The AT128 is an automotive-grade long-range LiDAR designed for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Boasting an impressive 1,200x128 ultra-high resolution, it delivers a high point frequency of 1.53 million points per second, enabling 200 meters ultra-long-range detection (@10% reflectivity) and capturing rich and detailed object information in real-time.

Beyond NETA Auto, Hesai Technology has secured production orders from several prominent auto brands, including Hongqi, Polestones, Leapmotor, SAIC Motor, and Great Wall Motor, highlighting the broad industry interest in their LiDAR solutions.

Recently, Hesai Technology also unveiled its new product, the AT512, targeting the mass market of vehicles equipped with intelligent driving systems. This 512-line ultra-high-definition long-range LiDAR is tailored for high-end intelligent driving production models that demand exceptional performance, reliability, and safety standards.
