During the event, XPENG Chairman and CEO Mr. He Xiaopeng announced that the first model under its new brand MONA will debut in June. He also highlighted XPENG’s new market positioning as a global pioneer and promoter of AI intelligent driving.
In the realm of intelligent driving, XPENG introduced China’s first mass-produced end-to-end large model, which integrates the XNet neural network, the XPlanner control model, and the XBrain large language model.

The XNet deep visual perception network, which combines dynamic XNet, static XNet, and the industry's first mass-produced 2K pure visual occupancy network, enables the autonomous driving system to function like naked-eye 3D. The 2K pure visual occupancy network reconstructs the world with high-fidelity 3D, enhancing the perception range to cover an area the size of 1.8 football fields, and can accurately identify over 50 target objects, offering eagle-eye clarity for drivers.
Beyond perception, XPENG launched the XPlanner, a planning model based on neural networks. XPlanner, like a human cerebellum, constantly trains on massive data, evolving driving strategies to mimic human driving behavior, significantly reducing jolts, illegal parking lockups, and safety intervention incidents, enhancing both comfort and safety for users, said XPENG.

With the integration of the AI large language model XBrain, the autonomous driving system gains human-like comprehension and learning abilities, drastically improving its generalization capabilities for complex and unknown scenarios, as well as its reasoning abilities about the physical world. The XBrain enables the system to understand various driving scenarios, including turning areas, tidal lanes, special lanes, and road sign texts, allowing it to make safe and efficient human-like driving decisions.
By the third quarter of 2024, XPENG’s intelligent driving system aims to achieve nationwide compatibility in China. By 2025, urban intelligent driving functions will be on par with highway smart driving experiences, according to XPENG’s plans.

Additionally, Mr. He Xiaopeng mentioned that by 2025, XPENG aims to realize a quasi-L4 intelligent driving experience in China. Currently, the company's end-to-end intelligent driving capabilities of the XNGP system is being tested globally, marking the beginning of the technical global expansion for the Chinese EV maker.
