Z-one Tech is actively developing intelligent vehicle operating systems, having successfully created and mass-produced a comprehensive suite of automotive operating systems, including the Z-One Galaxy® Intelligent Vehicle Operating System (ZOS).
The ZOS platform restructures intelligent vehicle software, data, communication, and fusion perception architectures using a high-performance communication soft bus. By integrating microkernel virtualization and operating system capabilities, ZOS achieves seamless hardware resource integration across car, cloud, and chip levels, enabling rapid data flow and computing. This system supports the integration of AI large models and SOA atomized services. Key performance features of the ZOS include ultra-fast startup in under 3 seconds, deterministic communication and scheduling with latency under 50 microseconds, and a 20% performance optimization through software and hardware collaboration, as well as computing efficiency.
As a critical component of the ZOS, Z-one Tech’s self-developed middleware platform is downward compatible with heterogeneous vehicle operating systems. It provides a high-performance soft bus to facilitate communication across chips, cores, domains, and car-cloud interactions, meeting the high-bandwidth, low-latency communication requirements of integrated cockpit and driving systems. This platform decouples software and hardware through a unified service framework and governance, offering standardized SOA service interfaces for application use and supporting continuous innovation and operation in intelligent vehicle software.
Z-one Tech has also developed a comprehensive digital R&D system and toolchain to support efficient high-quality development of cloud, management, and terminal electronic architectures and central brains. This reduces the development cycle of debut car models to 18-22 months, vehicle software baseline release cycles to less than two months, and computing platform software baseline release cycles to one month, enabling weekly iterative upgrades for intelligent cockpit and driving application software.
Currently, Z-one Tech’s first cross-domain, integrated central brain product, the ZXD1, pre-installed with the fully autonomous ZOS, has been launched in IM Motors’ IM L6 model. Looking ahead, Z-one Tech is planning the Intelligent Vehicle Full-Stack 4.0 solution, focusing on intelligent human-vehicle architecture, AI large models, and AI OS to support L4/L5 autonomous driving.
