Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 21, RoboSense officially launched its EMX digital LiDAR, an automotive-grade LiDAR boasting true 192-line resolution and high-performance digital architecture. The unveiling marks a major milestone in the company's continued advancement of intelligent vehicle sensing technologies.

At the launch event, RoboSense CEO Qiu Chunzhang highlighted the company's journey in tandem with the automotive industry's smart transformation. From the device-rich R platform to the mass-production breakthroughs of the M platform, the chip-level innovation of the E platform, and now the customizable, fully digital EM platform, RoboSense has consistently led industry innovation and development.

Mr. Qiu noted that the M platform remains the most widely deployed automotive LiDAR platform globally, having driven costs down from tens of thousands of dollars to just a few hundred. This enabled LiDAR's leap from experimental deployment to mass-market OEM integration. The M platform also laid the groundwork for RoboSense's proprietary technologies in 2D scanning, in-house SoC chip development, and end-to-end LiDAR systems, including signal transmission, reception, and processing.

The E platform, meanwhile, marked the world's first mass-producible solid-state LiDAR platform. Leveraging in-house developed chips and array scanning technologies, it achieved the global first in integrating LiDAR reception and signal processing into a single chip. RoboSense is now the only LiDAR supplier to have mastered 2D addressable VCSEL tech, overcome high thermal expansion challenges, and scaled production of its proprietary SPAD-SoC.

Building on these advancements in chip-level integration and full digitalization, RoboSense introduced the next-generation EM platform.

The newly launched EMX LiDAR, built on the EM platform, delivers true 192-line scanning and ultra-dense point cloud output of up to 2.88 million points per second. It offers an industry-leading angular resolution of 0.08° × 0.1°, a detection range of up to 300 meters, and supports frame rates of up to 20Hz. Compact yet powerful, the EMX integrates upgraded "intelligent gazecapabilities and stands as RoboSense's most compact digital main LiDAR to date. The product has already secured supply deals with multiple OEMs and is slated for mass production and vehicle integration later this year.

Mr. Qiu also shared recent updates on commercial deployments of RoboSense's digital LiDAR technologies. DiDi Autonomous Driving has begun mass production of vehicles equipped with RoboSense's solid-state digital LiDAR, while MAMMOTION recently unveiled a high-end robotic lawn mower developed in collaboration with RoboSense and powered by its custom LiDAR module.
