Horizon Robotics' DiGua Robotics teams up with five automotive Tier 1 suppliers to develop robot controllers

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 21, DiGua Robotics ("DiGua"), a subsidiary of Horizon Robotics, announced a strategic collaboration with five leading automotive Tier 1 suppliers—iMotion Technology ("iMotion"), Luxshare-ICT, SIM Technology, Huaqin Technology ("Huaqin"), and G-Pulse—to co-develop robot controllers based on the RDK S100 series intelligent computing platform. The joint effort aims to deliver mature and reliable integrated hardware-software solutions to accelerate the industrialization of intelligent robotics.

Addressing persistent challenges in the robotics sector—such as low product consistency and limited maturity—the partnership is committed to developing solutions that meet industrial-grade standards. By enhancing completeness and real-world reliability, the goal is to support the transition from small-batch trials to large-scale production, enabling intelligent robots to be deployed more widely across diverse and demanding scenarios.

Historically, the robotics industry has relied on fragmented board-level solutions lacking standardization, leading to duplicated development efforts. Robot manufacturers have had to invest heavily in customized designs tailored to specific applications, resulting in high costs, inconsistent product quality, and delayed scalability. The new collaboration seeks to change this paradigm.

All five partners—iMotion, Luxshare-ICT, SIM TECHNOLOGY, Huaqin, and G-Pulse—are established players in automotive electronics and long-time strategic collaborators with Horizon Robotics in the smart vehicle sector. They bring deep experience in automotive-grade mass production and robust supply chain capabilities.

Through these partnerships, the companies will leverage their expertise in automotive electronics to build a standardized development framework spanning design, component selection, production processes, and testing. The aim is to provide scalable, production-ready robot controller products and transform intelligent robots from lab prototypes into deployable, mass-produced solutions.

Currently, DiGua and its partners are advancing the development and deployment of RDK S100-based controllers, working toward full-stack solutions that integrate hardware, underlying software, middleware, and model deployment. These solutions are designed to meet the diverse needs of embodied intelligence across multiple industries.

iMotion's iRC100 controller, built on the RDK S100P, offers a flexible and cost-effective full-stack solution, configurable for a wide range of functions and foundational environments.

Luxshare-ICT's CORTEX100, also based on RDK S100P, is a powerful, easy-to-use development platform that integrates "brain and cerebellum" functions and provides POSIX-compliant A-core and R-core system interfaces for efficient algorithm deployment. It is designed for both academic and industrial use cases.

SIM TECHNOLOGY's CD01 terminal delivers high-performance AI computing tailored to high-reliability, real-time scenarios such as industrial inspection, campus monitoring, and research.

Huaqin's humanoid robot controller combines motion control, environmental perception, and behavioral decision-making into a versatile development platform.

G-Pulse's GRC1.0 control unit is designed for embodied intelligence and industrial automation, featuring dual-core expansion to ensure high reliability in real-time cerebellum-level control tasks.

According to DiGua, the RDK S100 series, which underpins all of these solutions, is the industry's first single-SoC robotics development kit delivering over 100 TOPS. Its human-inspired "brain-cerebellum" architecture supports seamless coordination between large and small AI models to close the perception-decision-control loop in embodied robots. The platform has already been evaluated by more than 50 clients and applied in products including humanoid and semi-humanoid robots, bipedal and quadruped robots, robotic arms, and multi-channel vision detection systems.

By extending Horizon Robotics' proven smart driving technologies into the robotics space, DiGua is bridging the two domains through shared resources and mutual empowerment.
