Summary: Porsche’s sales performance from January to October

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai) - In its latest announcement, German luxury automaker Porsche stated that it sold 191,800 vehicles from January to October. The figure is 18.2% higher than the amount sold over the first ten months of 2014. Porsche’s sales in the Chinese market have also increased year-on-year.

Porsche sold a total of 18,699 vehicles worldwide this October, 18.2% higher than the 15,820 vehicles it sold in October 2014. Porsche has managed to sustain very high year-on-year growth rates for its worldwide sales. Over the past four months, Porsche’s worldwide sales grew over 30%.

Porsche’s worldwide sales for the first ten months of the year totaled 191,784 vehicles, an increase of 26.6% from the 189,849 units sold over the first ten months of 2014.

Porsche’s best-selling model is the Macan, nearly 70,000 of which have been sold so far this year. Its second best model is the Cayenne, over 60,000 of which have been sold so far this year. A new generation 911 has been released this year. Sales of the 911 totaled 27,281 units over the first ten months of the year, representing year-on-year growth of 7%.

China remains Porsche’s fastest growing market, with its sales increasing over 40% in October. A total of 4,950 Porsche vehicles were sold in the country in October, 44.4% higher than the 3,429 vehicles sold last October. Porsche’s sales in the country from January to October totaled 49,190 vehicles, up 36.6% from the 36,021 vehicles sold over the first ten months of 2014.

Not only is China its largest growing market, as of this year, over a quarter of Porsche’s sales come from the China market.
