August, 2025 auto sales ranking by China's brands

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of BYD amounted to 342,838 units, down 3.61% year on year, the first on August, 2025 auto sales ranking by China's brands, according to the August sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of Chery amounted to 158,792 units, up 20.00% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 1,049,481 units. August sales of Geely reached 143,302 units, increasing 41.91% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 1,111,215 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
