SAIC Roewe NEV cumulative sales hit historical high
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In November, SAIC Roewe delivered 5,101 new energy vehicles (NEVs), soaring 104% year on year. Its cumulative sales from January to November reached 37,996 units with a yearly growth of 90%, hitting historical high. Roewe Ei5, the first pure electric-driven wagon in domestic market, made debut at Guangzhou International Auto Show in November and would be launched into market at the beginning of 2018.
November sales volume for PHEV model e950, ei6 and eRX5 were 288 units, 1,861 units and 1,781 units respectively. The e550 model, which is no longer under production, still sold 2 units in November. BEV compact SUV model ERX5, with a range of 425km, sold 1,169 units in November.
On December 13th, SAIC New Energy PHEV system EDU technology obtained Chinese Patent Award. SAIC EDU PHEV system submitted 190 patents, in which 60 Chinese patents for invention and 39 patents for utility models have been authorized and 5 of 8 American European PCT international patents have been authorized. The system can provide 8 PHEV modes to further optimize power plants efficiency and decrease oil consumption, which have been equipped in many Roewe NEV models to cover car and SUV products from A-class to B-class vehicles.
Roewe Ei5 integrates Roewe new family-style, SAIC “green chips” power and global-leading intelligent-connected system. Its power battery strictly follows UL-2580 security standard design and certificates with 360 degree comprehensive protection design and chassis clearance reaching 150mm. It also commits that battery system will have an attenuation rate of lower than 30% in 8 years with the mileage under 200,000km.
