Changjiang EV first battery electric passenger vehicle to be small-size SUV

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) showed that the first battery electric passenger vehicle of Changjiang EV, dubbed eCOOL, is a small-size SUV with a relatively simpler appearance. We also learned from the department that the SUV is also equipped with ternary lithium-ion battery.

Changjiang EV is one of the 5 OEMs which have been granted licenses by both the NDRC and the MIIT to manufacture electric passenger vehicles. The automaker has been developing core technologies of battery electric vehicles (BEV) for a long time.

As the brand’s first passenger vehicle, eCOOL features vivid front end with its logo in the center of the grille. In consideration of BEV’s requirement for the layout of power battery, Changjiang EV builds a battery electric chassis to provide better experience for customers.

The tail lights on both sides were connected by chrome trim to stretch the visual width. The SUV is 3,620mm long, 1,620mm wide and 1,560mm high with a wheelbase of 2,400mm. According to the information, the peak power of the new model is 60kw, but the range has not been unveiled.
