Hongqi to launch 17 new models by 2025

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Hongqi announced its future product plan in recent days. It is expected that Hongqi will target SUV market in 2019 and release three SUV models. By 2025, it will launch 17 new models, covering sedan, SUV, electric vehicle and sportscar.

Most strikingly, Hongqi also unveiled its future plan on new energy vehicle (NEV) products. It will develop a large platform for battery, electric motor, electronic control dubbed "532", and also a small platform for battery, electric motor, electronic control called "422". In the future, Hongqi will develop a number of new models to further expand its product portfolio, in order to strengthen its competitiveness.

The 532 platform consists of five electric drive system platforms, three vehicle-battery platforms and two complete vehicle controlling platforms. The 442 platform covers four battery charging platforms, two DC/DC platforms, and two electromotive air conditioners.

Hongqi unveiled its first pure electric SUV, the E-HS3 at Auto China 2018. According to the source from Hongqi, the new model will go on sale in the first half of 2019. The E-HS3 will adopt a design language that resembles that of the H5. Looking from its released patent images, the new model is likely to adopt two design styles for its intake grille. 

Adopting Hongqi's latest family design language in its interior, the E-HS3 boasts a three-spoke steering wheel paired with a floated center console LCD screen. It also offers one-key entrance and electronic brake. What's more, the model boasts the highest intelligence level among models in its same class.

As a compact entry-level SUV, the E-HS3 measures 4,490mm in length, 1,874mm in width and 1,613mm in height, and sets on a wheelbase of 2750mm. Powered by a ternary lithium battery pack with a maximum powerout of 114kW, the model boasts more whopping power performamce than other models in its same class.
