BAIC BJEV launches 2029 Plan

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On January 15, BAIC Group’s NEV unit BJEV released a new roadmap, dubbed “2029 Plan”, drawing the blueprint for the next decade. The Plan can be summarized as four key words—One Goal, Two Paths, Three Measures and Four Systems. 

One Goal represents the vision to “guard the blue sky” and become world-class NEV technology innovation center and NEV enterprise. Two Paths are to build a community of shared future for the industry and fully participate in international competition. As to Three Measures, BAIC BJEV plans to foster digital capability for R&D, enrich NEV product portfolio with deep integration of electrification and intelligent connectivity, and build AI factory to realize C2M (customer-to-manufacturer) individualized production.

Besides, it intends to build four systems of power battery, intelligent connectivity, customer service and energy ecosystem. To be specific, the NEV arm is to create a diversified energy system based on the "trinity" of lithium ion battery, solid-state battery and fuel cell. It is also to set up a vehicle-road-cloud big data management center integrating collection, communication and data analysis on the basis of 5G/6G technology. An all-new seamless marketing network covering online, offline and experience delivery is included.
