NIO strives to launch all-new flagship sedan at 2020 NIO Day

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese EV startup NIO will strive to launch a new-generation flagship car model at 2020 NIO Day, Qin Lihong, co-founder and president of NIO, recently revealed at a living-streaming show.

The yet-to-be-launched model is in all likelihood the ET7 which was exposed before.

Judging from the patent image, the new model will retain NIO's family design style in exterior. Positioned as a coupe, the ET7 features a relatively low center of gravity, a sharper front face with larger-sized headlights. The fastback design is adopted at the rear, while frameless doors are not.

Information about NIO's flagship car has emerged frequently over the past year. At the Auto Shanghai 2019, the ET Preview all-electric concept car made its debut. According to the existing information, the NIO ET7 may be built on the second generation platform currently under development and will be equipped with level 4 driver assistance system.
