Li Auto records highest monthly sales in August

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Li Auto delivered 2,711 Li ONEs in August, its highest-ever monthly sales, the automaker said on Wednesday. From January to August, the model’s delivery totaled 14,656.

With delivery starting at the end of 2019, it just took the company six and a half months to achieve the first 10,000 delivery milestone, the fastest among all startups across the world.

At the end of July, Li Auto made its debut on Nasdaq. In its prospectus, the U.S.-listed company said it aims to be a leader in the biggest NEV market. Currently, it only has one model for sale. In the future, the startup will continue to develop SUV models with a full-size premium electric SUV to come in 2022. Afterwards, the company plans to expand the product portfolio with mid-size and compact SUV models to gain a broader consumer base.

As of August 31, Li auto has 31 retail centers in 26 cites, with eight more added in August, namely Changzhou, Dongguan, Kunming, Foshan, Hefei, Dalian, Wuxi and Lanzhou. Before the end of October, the company will open up new retail stores in many other cities, including Shenyang, Xiamen, Haikou and Taiyuan, to offer customers better service.
