Shanghai (Gasgoo)- China resolves to vigorously promote the use of new energy vehicles, as part of the efforts to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030, according to an action plan issued by the State Council on Oct. 26

Under the action plan, the country will boost the low-carbon transition for transportation facilities, expanding the applications of such new and clean energy sources as electricity, hydrogen, natural gas, and advanced biology liquid fuel in traffic and transportation fields.

To achieve the goal, China will gradually lower the proportion of traditional fuel cars in new vehicles production and push the replacement of oil-fueled vehicles for public services with the electric ones. Additionally, the country will endeavor to popularize the heavy-duty trucks powered by electricity, hydrogen, as well as liquefied natural gas.

The construction of green traffic infrastructures will also be quickened to peak carbon emissions as scheduled. Per the action plan, China will orderly push ahead with the building of EV charging piles, supporting power grids, gas and hydrogen filling stations, and other facilities in a bid to improve the level of urban public transport infrastructures.
