NIO kicks off delivery of ET7

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 28, NIO officially started the delivery of the ET7 all-electric flagship sedan, its four production model, according to the startup's press release.

As NIO’s first model riding on the NT2.0, the ET7 comes standard with over 100 configurators for comfort, safety and smart technologies, and is armed with the brand-new software system for the NT2.0, Banyan, said the company. In addition, the subscription service of NIO Autonomous Driving (NAD) is set to be launched by region from the fourth quarter this year.

The ET7 made its world's debut at NIO Day held in Chengdu on January 9, 2021. The first batch of ET7's mass-produced vehicles rolled off the assembly line four days ago.

In early March, NIO kicked off the test drive of ET7 nationwide. “Users who test drove ET7 have spoken highly about the product. The test-drive-to-order conversion rate exceeded our expectations, giving us great confidence toward the competitiveness of NT2.0,” William Bin Li, Chairman and CEO of NIO, said last week at the latest quarterly earnings call.

The ET7 shares the production lines with the existing models of the ES8, the ES6 and EC6 at NIO's first factory, which also needs to prepare for the production of the ES7, said Mr. Li. Thus, the ramp-up progress of the ET7 is probably going to be a little bit slower compared with that of the ET5, which will be manufactured at a separate new factory.
