Car and City: Li Auto sees Li L9’s monthly registrations exceed 10,000 units in Sept.
In Sept. 2022, Chinese NEV startup Li Auto recorded monthly registrations of 11,575 units, including 1,458 Li ONEs and 10,117 Li L9s, according to the data compiled by Gasgoo Auto Research Institute ("GARI").
Li Auto saw its Sept. registrations leap 57.63% compared to the same span of last year, while also surge 145.6% from the previous month.
With such a blooming performance, Li Auto ranked 10th among all auto brands by Sept. registrations of locally-made new energy passenger vehicle (NEPV) on the Chinese mainland, moving up 10 spots from the previous month.
For the first nine months of 2022, Li Auto recorded a cumulative registration volume of 88,208 vehicles (+57.15% YoY), including 76,969 Li ONEs and 11,239 L9s.

It is noteworthy that the Li L9's monthly registrations exceeded 10,000 units in the second month since records began in July 2022. The model hit the market in June this year as Li Auto's second production model, and its delivery commenced at the end of August.
In Sept., Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Zhongshan occupied the first three spots among cities on the Chinese mainland by the monthly registrations of the Li ONE. Nonetheless, none of them saw their registrations surpass 200 units.
There were four provincial capitals among the top 10 cities by Sept. Li ONE registrations, namely, Hangzhou (2nd), Zhengzhou (4th), Xi'an (6th), and Chengdu (10th).
The Li L9's monthly registrations in Sept. rocketed 2,605.08% compared to August. There were five cities with over 500 Li L9s registered last month, of them Hangzhou ranked highest.
