REPT Saike puts 20GWh power battery project in Liuzhou city into operation

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 15th, REPT Saike Power Battery Co., Ltd. ("REPT Saike")'s 20GWh power battery project in Liudong New District New Energy Industrial Park was put into operation, six months ahead of schedule.

He Guoxuan, Deputy Mayor of Liuzhou city, stated that the official operation of the aforesaid project is of great significance to the high-quality industrial development in Liuzhou. It will further promote the implementation of Liuzhou's "125" Project, facilitate breakthroughs in the field of power battery, boost the upgrading of the automotive industry in Liuzhou, extend the new energy industry chain, and build an international high ground for the new energy vehicle industry, solidifying the foundation of the automotive industry in Guangxi province.

REPT Saike started construction of the 20GWh power battery project in October 2022. This project will continuously optimize and upgrade the local industrial chain of power batteries. After the project reaches its full capacity, it is estimated to contribute to an annual output value of over one billion yuan, making a significant contribution to Liuzhou's goal of becoming an international new energy vehicle industry hub.

REPT Saike is a joint venture between Liuzhou Saike Technology Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of SAIC Motor, and REPT BATTERO Energy Co., Ltd. The company is primarily engaged in the production of power batteries for new energy vehicles. The aforementioned project was signed in the Liudong New Area in March 2022, involving a total investment of 4.4 billion yuan. It is planned to become a power battery production base with an annual production capacity of 20GWh.
