In terms of its exterior, the Song L adopts the avant-garde Dragon Face design philosophy, presenting a harmoniously athletic overall appearance reminiscent of the DENZA N7. The front grille features a closed design with a dragon-face-inspired motif, in line with the design language seen in other models within the BYD family. The component design on the left and right sides of the front bumper enhances the overall sportiness of the vehicle.
The BYD Song L measures 4,840mm in length, 1,950mm in width, and 1,560mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,930mm. While the body size falls within the midsize SUV category, the near 3-meter wheelbase contributes to a spacious interior for comfortable seating. Additionally, the smooth lines from the C-pillar to the rear wing contribute to the car's aerodynamic efficiency, boasting a low drag coefficient of 0.255Cd for improved visual appeal and reduced energy consumption.

The central screen integrates the DiLink intelligent connectivity system, offering various entertainment functions for daily use. The Song L also comes equipped with the BYD DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system, supporting Level 2 autonomous driving features for an enhanced driving experience on long journeys.

The low-power trims have a maximum power output of 150kW, the high-power trims reach 230kW, and the all-wheel-drive model boasts a maximum power of 380kW. Suspension-wise, the new car adopts a front double-wishbone independent suspension and a rear five-link independent suspension, with some trims featuring the DiSus C intelligent damping body control system. For the battery, the Song L offers a choice between a 71.8kWh Blade Battery and an 87.04kWh Blade Battery, providing varying ranges of 550km, 662km, and 602km, with the latter applicable to the four-wheel-drive version.
