BYD’s Yangwang unveils flagship sedan model U7

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Yangwang, the luxury new energy vehicle (NEV) brand of BYD, following the launch of the U8 and U9 models, officially announced its latest creation, the Yangwang U7, on January 10 via its official WeChat account.

Positioned as a flagship sedan in the one-million-yuan NEV category, the Yangwang U7 is now available for pre-order through the official WeChat mini program.

According to the automaker's introduction, the Yangwang U7 retains the distinctive design language of the "Time Gate". The front fascia shares a resemblance with the U9, featuring a sharp "C"-shaped headlight design and powerful contour lines on the hood, providing a visually striking and unmistakable appearance. Additionally, the car roof is equipped with a LiDAR unit, indicating the anticipation of an advanced intelligent driver assistance system.

As for the body design, the Yangwang U7 embraces a sleek, coupe-like profile, accentuated by carefully crafted lines that give it a distinctly sporty character. Incorporating common features seen in new energy vehicles, such as concealed door handles and large-sized alloy wheels, combined with smoked side skirts, the U7 exudes a sense of dynamic motion.

Moving to the rear, the Yangwang U7 adopts the trendy full-width taillight design, with the brand's logo positioned prominently at the center. Below the taillights, a diffuser and carbon fiber-like surround package add a touch of sophistication.

Regarding powertrain, BYD's official statements suggest that the U7 will ride on the e4 Platform, equipped with a four-motor independent drive system, delivering a power output surpassing a thousand horsepower. This promises a potent and high-performance driving experience.
