This marks the commencement of BYD's new chapter in Rwanda. The strategic collaboration with the renowned local automotive dealer group, CFAO Mobility, forged last year, signifies BYD's official entry into East Africa, contributing to the region's sustainable transportation development.

Rwanda is actively promoting sustainable development, aiming to reduce carbon emissions by 38% by 2030 and electrify 20% of city buses. Cheruvu Srinivas, Chief Operating Officer of CFAO Rwanda, stated, "Our collaboration with BYD aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainable development. We firmly believe that BYD's innovative new energy vehicle product range, combined with our extensive sales network, will strongly drive the flourishing development of Rwanda's electric vehicle market."

In 2023, BYD achieved an annual sales volume of over 3 million new energy vehicles. With a presence in over 70 countries and regions, spanning more than 400 cities worldwide, BYD's footprint in the new energy vehicle landscape continues to expand. Riding the wave of the new energy era, BYD will further cultivate the Middle East and Africa markets, delivering efficient green mobility solutions and driving regional electrification transformation in alignment with the brand vision of "cooling the Earth by 1°C."
