BYD’s DENZA introduces 2024 DENZA D9 MPV with starting price of 339,800 yuan

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 6, the 2024 DENZA D9 MPV model under BYD's DENZA brand officially hit the market with two powertrain solutions. The battery electric vehicle (BEV) version offers three trim levels, priced between 379,800 yuan and 469,800 yuan, while the DM-i (namely, plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) version introduces five variants with prices ranging from 339,800 yuan to 449,800 yuan.

Moreover, the 2024 DENAZ D9 introduces a four-seater Pioneer Edition priced at 600,600 yuan, accompanied by a range of added benefits such as purchase and trade-in rights, worry-free car usage, financial privileges, and hassle-free maintenance.

While the exterior and powertrain of the new D9 remain largely unchanged, DENZA has focused on enhancing interior details in this latest model.

Visually, the 2024 D9 retains the signature appearance from its previous generation, adopting the π-Motion design language. The BEV version features a waterfall-style grille, while the PHEV version boasts a large diamond-cut grille. The rear features a through-type arrow-shaped design, ensuring high recognition and meeting the demands of business aesthetics.

With dimensions measuring 5,250mm in length, 1,960mm in width, and 1,920mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,110mm, the new DENZA D9 offers a spacious and comfortable driving space.

The 2024 DENZA D9 introduces front electric suction doors, facilitating door closure without disturbing resting rear passengers during entry and exit.

Internally, the leather-wrapped steering wheel, equipped with heating functionality, ensures a comfortable driving experience, complemented by physical buttons for ease of operation. Optional streaming rearview mirrors prove particularly beneficial for MPV models, eliminating obstruction for rear seats' passengers and awkward eye contact with them.

The 2024 DENZA D9 has introduced a middle-row tray table and second-row physical buttons, underscoring its commitment to user-centric design.

In terms of power, the 2024 DENZA D9 features the DiSus-C intelligent damping body control system, which is able to intelligently adjust chassis stiffness based on road conditions to balance handling and comfort. The CCT (comfort control technology) sees a 20% improvement in brake pitch and a 12% enhancement in cornering roll control.

The new model also incorporates the DENZA Pilot L2+ intelligent driving assistance system, offering lane navigation, remote parking, and other advanced features.

Both the BEV and PHEV versions of the 2024 DENZA D9 feature a 6kW external discharge function, capable of supporting multiple high-power electrical appliances simultaneously.

The BEV version, built on the 800V platform with a 103kWh battery pack, achieves an impressive range of over 620km. It also introduces the innovative dual-gun ultra-fast charging technology, which can upgrade standard fast-charging stations to "supercharging" stations, replenishing 230km of range in just 15 minutes.

The DM-i version boasts an 80kW DC fast charge, which enables the battery to be charged from 30% to 80% of its capacity within only 25 minutes. It features a battery-power-only range of up to 200km and a combined range of 1,050km under the CLTC test cycle.
