Nissan China, enjoyelec, iVision team up to develop energy management system, promote V2G tech
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 1, 2024, Nissan (China) Investment Co., Ltd. ("Nissan China"), Nissan Motor's wholly-owned subsidiary in China, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with enjoyelec, a sustainable energy digital services provider, and iVision Shanghai Co., Ltd. ("iVision"), an affiliate company of Nomura Research Institute and Mitsubishi Corporation, according to a press release Nissan China released this week via its WeChat account.

The three parties aim to leverage their respective strengths to co-develop Energy Management Systems (EMS) and promote Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology, addressing diverse market needs and driving innovation in the smart energy sector.
This strategic partnership comes as China accelerates the construction of renewable energy infrastructure to achieve its 2030 carbon peak and 2060 carbon neutrality goals. Given the inherent volatility of renewable energy production due to weather changes, demand response technologies utilizing energy storage batteries and electric vehicle batteries are gaining prominence.
The collaboration will focus on developing and optimizing EMS products and V2G applications, serving industrial and commercial enterprises in their energy transitions while advancing the adoption of clean energy.
As for the core strengths the three parties can offer to the cooperation, Nissan China will contribute its comprehensive resource integration, project consultation, and development capabilities to offer end-to-end operational services. enjoyelec brings advanced digital energy management technology and extensive experience in distributed energy solutions. iVision will add its expertise in IT systems development, operations, and rich market resources.
Izumi Shinkichi, Executive General Manager of Nissan China, emphasized the partnership's significance in creating new services related to electric vehicles and energy in China, the market with the world's most electrification degree in the world.
