FANGCHENGBAO rolls out TAI 7 model's first mass-produced unit

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 11, FANGCHENGBAO, BYD's sub-brand that specializes in professional and personalized identities, announced that the first mass-produced unit of its TAI 7 SUV model rolled off the production line at its Shenshan plant, marking the start of volume manufacturing and paving the way for the model's upcoming market debut.

The TAI 7 is the first "square-box" model in FANGCHENGBAO's TAI series and was officially registered with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on June 20, 2025. It measures 4,999 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width, and 1,865 mm in height, with a generous 2,920 mm wheelbase.

Stylistically, the TAI 7 inherits the rugged, imposing design language seen on the BAO 5 and BAO 8, featuring a chunky front bumper and squared-off headlights for a commanding presence.

At the rear, dual L-shaped taillights enhance night-time visibility and brand recognition.

Inside, official images show two color schemes—Urban Orange and Stylish Grey—creating a contrast between the bold exterior and a more comfortable, refined cabin. The squared-off body maximizes interior space, with a clean, orderly layout. A panoramic sunroof and large square windows provide an expansive, five-sided view.

All TAI 7 variants come equipped with BYD's advanced "DiPilot" ADAS suite, with versions available both with and without LiDAR-based capabilities.

The SUV will be offered in dual-motor AWD and single-motor RWD configurations. In the AWD version, the front motor delivers up to 160 kW while the rear motor produces 200 kW. The long-range AWD variant is fitted with a 35.6 kWh battery, enabling up to 180 km of CLTC battery-powered range, while the standard RWD version carries a 26.6 kWh pack for a 135 km CLTC range on battery power alone. With both fuel and electric power, maximum combined range exceeds 1,300 km.
