Sources familiar with the matter told a local media outlet that more than ten ZEKU management personnel have recently joined the autonomous driving company Momenta.
The list of executives includes ZEKU's COO, Li Zonglin, ZEKU's Director of Software, Jia Mingjun, ZEKU's Senior Director of SoC 2, Yu Guojun, and nearly ten mid-level managers under them. Furthermore, Momenta is also in contact with ZEKU's former NPU chip center director, Sun Chengkun.
These executives from ZEKU are reportedly being offered lucrative compensation, with salaries ranging from 2 million to 6 million yuan annually, as per insiders. Momenta's significant recruitment of talent from the chip industry is likely tied to its new strategic layout.
Insiders indicate that with the addition of these ZEKU executives, Momenta may establish a new department, possibly led by Li Zonglin, with the purpose of researching and developing autonomous driving chips.
Momenta has yet to respond or verify the above information.
Before joining ZEKU, Li Zonglin was a prominent figure at chip company MediaTek. During the transition from feature phones to smartphones, Li Zonglin, then serving as the General Manager of the Wireless Communication Division at MediaTek, played a crucial role in developing the iconic Helio processor series and Dimensity chip series.
