Gasgoo.com (Shanghai) - As demand for automobiles in the country remains strong, Chinese minivan sales have continued to increase. While sales growth is not at the same level as 2014, it was still very high. While in 2014 sales growth rates of 40% to 50% were much easier to reach, last year’s automotive sales growth was a lot more subdued. According to statistics from Gasgoo.com (Chinese), minivan sales grew 11.2% from 1.72 million sales completed over the first 11 months of 2014 to 1.91 million sales completed over the first 11 months of 2015. Minivan sales accounted for 10.7% of all automobile sales made across the country in 2015, up 0.3 percentage points from the previous year.

The proportion of sales between domestic brands and joint-venture brands in 2015 stood as one to five in the overall sales of China’s first four top-seller automakers.
