Geely’s premium EV brand ZEEKR likely to unveil third model at Auto China 2023

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Geely Auto Group on Monday released several photos of the third model under ZEEKR, its premium electric vehicle brand, via its twitter account.

According to some local media outlets, the fire new model will ride on the Geely's SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) electric vehicle platform, and has the siblings of the Volvo EX30 and the smart #1.

Despite the colorful camouflage, the photos still reveal that the yet-to-be-launched model would be a crossover. The vehicle’s front is powered by split-type sleek headlights, which are different from the through-type shape used by the ZEEKR 001.

As a full-electric model, the new model's front carries a sealed-off grille with ventilation slots on both sides.

As for the side profile, the new car features a chunkier shape, with a roofline that slopes down at the rear compartment. A sloping rib line seems to appear at the doors, which matches the bulging waistline. Besides, the new model also comes with large-sized closed-off wheels to accentuate its all-electric attribute.

At the rear, the slender light strips render two unmistakable U-shaped clusters, where the lettering “ZEEKR” is located between them.

The third ZEEKR-branded model is likely to come with a RWD and an AWD variant, which is good for up to 200kW and 315kW, respectively, according to local media channels.

The new model might be priced above 200,000 yuan ($29,620), as Yang Xueliang, senior vice president of Geely Holding Group, said via his personal Weibo account that ZEEKR would not launch a product with a starting price higher than the number. He also revealed the model might not be named ZEEKR 003, in response to media channels’ guess, and was expected to be unveiled at the Auto China 2023 in Shanghai.
