XPeng deploys 400 supercharging stations by end of Aug. 2021
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- As of August 2021, XPeng Inc. (XPeng) had deployed a total of 400 own-brand supercharging stations, spanning 101 cities in China, the company announced on Tuesday. Of those, 102 stations were newly launched last month.

The EV manufacturer built 16 supercharging stations on highways in August, making the cumulative number of XPeng-branded highway supercharging stations increase to 27. The company is China's first automaker to operate supercharging service at rest stops on highways.
According to XPeng's update, the company's charging network has also included 81 destination charging stations, 36 of which were deployed last month, as well as 1,596 free charging stations that cover 209 cities across China.
XPeng is the first EV startup in China to offer free lifetime charging services for its customers, aiming to popularize its smart EVs by providing easy access to free charging facilities and improving customer experience. It focuses on facilitating urban mobility, as well as long-distance inter-city driving for XPeng's users.
Over the next three weeks, the EV startup plans to expand its supercharging network into more than 60 cities or regions, including Shijiazhuang, Harbin, Shenyang, Changchun, Chizhou, Yangzhou, Luoyang, Huanggang, Urumchi, and Yinchuan.
