China’s autonomous driving solution provider Hong Jing Drive debuts L3 autonomous heavy truck
Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s full-stack autonomous driving solution provider, Hong Jing Drive, officially debuted its digitalized intelligent heavy truck, HyperTruck One. The autonomous smart truck, co-developed with JAC Motor, helps to reduce costs and improve efficiency in the logistics industry.

Moreover, the company also announced its plan to partner with more commercial vehicle manufacturer and logistics partners for L3 autonomous heavy trucks’ mass production in China.
Since its establishment, Hong Jing Drive has got investment from many international venture capital firms, including Walden International, Hillhouse Capital, Linear Capital, and Blue Run Ventures. Hong Jing Drive also collaborated with Intel and built an intelligent driving innovation center. The company also independently developed its featured Windbreaker L3 system architecture.
As a trunk-route-oriented intelligent truck, the HyperTruck One can manage through highway toll stations and plan the optimal trip via six cost-effective technologies. With the L3 architecture, the HyperTruck One can directly lower the energy consumption and carbon emission level compared to current systems.
According to Hong Jing Drive, the company will complete OTA updates in multiple aspects such as warehouse to warehouse self-driving and in-park self-driving in 2022. The HyperTruck One is expected to be put into mass production in the first half of next year. Hong Jing Drive plans to assemble a freight fleet with more than ten L3 autonomous heavy trucks to test out its technical feasibility and cost advantages by the end of this year.
