Almost 200000 government cars in China operated illegally

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 18) - The official task force ordered by the government with enforcing proper use of government vehicles held a conference in Beijing last Friday, the Guangzhou Daily reported today. According to their findings, 199,600 government vehicles across the country are not being used in accordance with government guidelines.

New policies outlying proper and legal usage of government cars and SUVs have already been forwarded to provincial authorities across the country. The policies aim at fostering more efficient, standardized and scientifically-proven management methods. Since the task force was set up, a total of 949 cases of illegal usage uncovered by authorities and the media have been investigated, with a total of 170 Party members being reprimanded.
