Shanghai November 15 (Gasgoo.com) The latest data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) showed that China auto inventories, excluding retail inventories, rose to 542,100 units as of the end of October, an increase of 2,900 units compared with the start of the month, the Beijing Times reported Monday.
The current auto inventories are still in the normal range as the country's auto production and sales have been growing constantly for months, said Dong Yang, the secretary general of CAAM.
Compared with the beginning of the month, inventories of passenger vehicles in China fell by 4,900 units to 345,900 units at the end of October. Of the figures, sedans and commercial vehicles accounted for 207,700 units and 196,200 units, down 5,300 units and up 7,800 units from early last month, respectively.
