Shanghai, April 9 (Gasgoo.com) China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) has recently signed a contract with the Sweden government to carry out comprehensive cooperation with the global leading automotive electronics companies in Sweden. CETC Vice President Zou Nairui said the move is aimed at strengthening China's automotive electronics standards and perfecting China's automobile industry chain, reported Xinhua news agency.
The huge size of China’s auto market, the world's largest with 2009 annual sales of 13.64 million units, has promoted the development of China's automobile industry rapidly. Internationally, the automotive electronics technology has taken up the vehicle cost by 25%, while less than 10％ domestically. Therefore, mastering core technology of the automotive electronics will be of major importance in the promotion of China’s whole automotive technology level, Zou Nairui said.
It said CETC is the largest R&D organization and manufacturer in the construction of China’s electronic information systems and fields of major equipment, communications and electronic equipment, software and key components, and automobile electronics is the one of the key development fields. Its wholly owned subsidiary, iSOFT INFRASTRUCTURE SOFTWARE CO., LTD., as the cooperation carrier with the Sweden government, will jointly establish the iSOFT Europe Company with many leading automobile electronics manufacturers in Sweden. The joint venture will focus on the development and services of the basic automotive electronics software products.
The establishment of the iSOFT Europe Company will help integrate the advanced technology and superior resources in basic foreign automotive electronics software field, rapidly enhance China’s overall level in this field, better meet the domestic needs for the basic automotive electronics software in the development of the automobile industry, and to lay a foundation for the globalization of the basic domestic automotive electronics software, Zou Nairui said.
