It is reported that the joint venture will only launch the enhanced version of the Lancer 1.8L in China, and has no plans to launch the 2.0L model currently.

The new model features an imported all-aluminum engine with a maximum power of 112Kw/6000rpm and a peak torque of 197Nm/4250rpm, and is equipped with the 3-spoke steering wheel, with audio control buttons and cruise control. In addition, a sports roof spoiler is applied to the new model, which can effectively reduce drag coefficient for high wind speed.

Moreover, the sports package for the overall body and tail has been removed from the new model, and great changes have been made to the interior. The interior is expected to be all black. The steering wheel shift picks and other equipment is likely to be used as well.

As a fashionable family sedan, this new Lancer 1.8L model will become the flagship model of Soueast-Mitsubishi.
