Gasgoo Munich- On April 7, Gasgoo learned that SAIC Volkswagen has expanded its 2026 Tiguan L PRO lineup with a new variant—the 300TSI Smart Edition—priced at 213,800 yuan. While the exterior and interior styling carry over unchanged, the new model focuses on equipment adjustments and is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

Visually, the vehicle retains the full-width LED light bar and irregularly shaped headlight clusters. The front bumper features a wide intake opening accented by three horizontal chrome slats and flanked by vertical air vents, giving the SUV a more youthful look. It rides on 18-inch wheels. Dimensions measure 4,735 mm in length, 1,842 mm in width, and 1,682 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,791 mm.
Inside, the cabin is offered exclusively in Deep Black, featuring a 12.9-inch central screen. Compared to the Smart Travel Edition, the 300TSI Smart Edition cuts the Qualcomm 8155 chip, active safety warning system, and Baidu CarLife. Also removed are the 30-color ambient lighting, power-folding side mirrors, and auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Under the hood, the 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 118 kW of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. Official fuel consumption is rated at 6.38 liters per 100 kilometers.
Separately, the automaker announced a new limited-time fixed price for the Tiguan L Outstanding edition, starting at 142,900 yuan.
