Shanghai, July 27 (Gasgoo.com) The Beijing city government has recently issued the electric car charging station standards which require that charging stations should not be built in busy roads, local media reported.

Moreover, the local government said the four charging stations to be built in Beijing's Hang Tian Qiao, Ma Jia Lou, Xiao Ying and Si Hui Roads should also comply with these tech standards.

The standards, published on July 7, contain four qualitative levels. Of which standards for the first-class charging stations require that battery energy storage should not be less than 6,800kwh, and that the stations should be able to offer battery replacement service to more than 200 large- and medium-size commercial vehicles or to provide battery replacement service or charging service for over 500 passenger vehicles per day.

Additionally, the new standards require the vehicle size and flow patterns should be considered and charging facilities better be built based on the existing public service facilities. Charging stations within the city should be set up close to the urban roads but not near to intersections or heavy traffic roads.
